RIVE STAVANGER is an initiative working to map all planned demolitions in the municipality of Stavanger. The project intends to challenge the destructive construction practices in the city and change practices and discourse around urban planning, towards sustainable architecture and an end to demolitions. In 2025 the group of architects and other cultural practitioners started mapping threatened buildings through data collection and photography, inspired by the work of Stockholm collective 08demolition. The photographs are published continously and the full list of threatened buildings will be published soon.
