The unveiling on the plaque on the 7th of May 2024 marked the official renaming of the "Ente di Colonizzazione Latifondo Siciliana" to the "Ente di Decolonizzazione – Entity of Decolonization" as a culmination of a 5 year research project by DAAR – Sandi Hilal and Alessandro Petti, DAAS participants, and many others. The project has been made possible by the continued collaboration of the municipality of Carlentini. 

The plaque is made from 2cm thick Etna stone, produced by Etna Stone & Design and engraved by CNC.
